As a part of training, 2022 Batch, Bihar Cadre IAS Officers, today, visited SAS Nagar and saw the working of administrative officers in the local District Administrative Complex.
Deputy Commissioner, Aashika Jain while welcoming these trainee elite services officers, apprised them of the administrative work being disposed of at various levels as a part of District Administration. She said that an IAS officer’s first agenda should be the service of the Nation and the state, where he/she has been posted. The Deputy Commissioner while sharing the routine of administrative duties with them said that redressal of the problems and grievances raised by the general public matters foremost as the society keeps such ambitions from us as an administrating authority.
The officers also got information on the SAS Nagar district and its overall department in the previous years. They were more interested in the planned development of the district in the wake of increasing urbanisation in the outskirts and evolution of new urban areas with the arrangements of accommodation. The Deputy Commissioner said that the district has seen unprecedented development in the field of real estate, the IT service sector and major industries based on pharmaceutical, tractor parts and other areas.
She said that being an administrative officer, be it at district level or subdivision level, an officer has to work day and night to keep things in order. Coordination with other departments, particularly with police counterpart is a must to maintain the law and order.
The officers who were present on this occasion included ADC (G) Viraj S Tidke and Assistant Commissioner (Under Trainee) Davy Goyal and IAS under trainees from Bihar; Divya Shakti, Shreya Shree, Aashish Kumar, Kishley Kushwaha, Rituraj Pratap Singh, Gaurav Kumar, Kajale Vaibhav Nitin, Shweta Bharti, Gaurav Kumar.
