Amritpal Singh to be moved to Dibrugarh jail in Assam

Punjab Police transported ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh, who was captured early Sunday morning, to Air Force Station, Bathinda, from there he will be sent to Assam’s Dibrugarh.
Soon after the arrest of the Waris Punjab De head from Moga’s Gurudwara, Punjab Police requested the public to maintain peace and unity and to desist from spreading false information. According to the police, details concerning the arrest will be released, and individuals should verify any story before spreading it. “Amritpal Singh was apprehended in Moga, Punjab.” #PunjabPolice will provide additional information. “Urge citizens to maintain peace and harmony, don’t share any fake news, always verify and share,” the Punjab Police Department tweeted.
Earlier on Saturday, when asked about Amritpal Singh’s arrest and the fact that he has been missing for a long time, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated, “It may happen sometime.” He used to be able to travel freely, but now he is unable to continue his activities.”
On April 18, two more aides of Amritpal Singh were apprehended in Mohali, Punjab, in a joint operation by Punjab and Delhi Police.
Joga Singh, his close aide, was detained on April 15 in Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib district, by Punjab Police. Almost a month ago the Punjab police issued a lookout circular (LOC) and non-bailable warrant (NBW) against ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief.
Amritpal has been on the run since March 18, the day Punjab Police launched a massive manhunt for him.
