Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, V Umashankar, chaired a video conferencing review meeting for the Dr. BR Ambedkar Renovation Housing Scheme from Chandigarh on Monday. He instructed all officers to complete their targets within two days.
Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan reported that the verification process for 26 applications has been finished in Panchkula district, with re-verification ongoing for some applications, expected to conclude shortly. Under this scheme, eligible applicants receive Rs 80,000 for house repairs. All officers were directed to diligently complete the verification process.
Post-video conferencing, the Deputy Commissioner assessed preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s program scheduled for March 13 through video conferencing.
He provided guidelines to officials for the successful organization of the event. During this program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with beneficiaries of National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation, National Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Section Welfare Corporation, and National Safai Karmachari Finance and Development Corporation.
The live telecast will take place at PWD Rest House, Sector-1, Panchkula. Loan sanction letters will be distributed to beneficiaries, along with Ayushman cards for sanitation workers under the Namaste scheme.
