The University Grants Commission has decided to reopen the CUET-UG application portal on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. And the portal will close at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday.
“Following requests from several students, we have decided to re-open the application portal for CUET-UG on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and will close at 11.59 p.m. on Tuesday,” UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar tweeted. (11 April 2023). For additional information, students could go to https://cuet.samarth.ac.in.” CUET UG, or Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate Admissions, began in 2022. Over the previous year, the number of students who enrolled and paid their application costs increased this year.

In a tweet, the UGC chairwoman said, “In 2022, UGC’s debut year of CUET-UG introduction, 12.50 lakh students registered, and 9.9 lakh students applied.” A total of 16.85 lakh students registered for the CUET-UG in 2023.”
“Of the 16.85 lakh students, 13.995 lahks paid the application fee and submitted the application form, representing a 4.0 lakh increase.” There will be a 41% increase in the total number of students taking CUET-UG in 2023.”

On Tuesday, the UGC Chairman stated that the University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, University of Allahabad, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, and Jamia Millia Islamia have got the most applications for CUET-UG in 2023.
“The University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, University of Allahabad, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, and Jamia Millia Islamia are the five central universities that have received the most applications for CUET-UG in 2023.The same order was maintained in 2022 as well,” he stated.
