The big surprise at the lavish wedding between Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant was that two people who did not figure in the invitees list managed to get in unauthorized. Separate cases have been registered against these trespassers at the hands of the police. One of them has been identified as Venkatesh Narasaiya Alluri, age 26, who runs a YouTube channel, and the other as Lukman Mohammad Shafi Sheikh, age 28, who introduced himself as a businessman.
It was at the plush wedding held at the Jio World Convention Centre that the two men could get an entry without any proper authorization. Both of them traveled from Andhra Pradesh to Mumbai specifically to participate in the high-profile event. Their entry did not go unnoticed, though.
BKC police in Mumbai promptly arrested Alluri and Sheikh. The police registered separate cases against both of them after the incident. An official statement was released by the Mumbai Police, which reads, “The police have released the accused after giving them notice and taking legal action in both cases.”
The police action underlined the tight security at such big events where everybody present is byinvitation only. The wedding celebrations continued uneventful despite this disruption, just as any other should have been, with all the pomp and grandeur.
The incident has opened up discussions on how far people will go to get into celebrity events, raising awareness about the need to always have strict security measures in place.
