Kulwant Singh, the Station House Officer of Mubarikpur, informed that AASI Gorav Sharma, along with a police team, was conducting checks and addressing disruptive elements at Rest House Mubarikpur. Around 7 p.m., an informant, Khush Naseeb, provided information that three individuals were involved in cheating innocent people by claiming that their money was going into a government lottery.

According to the information received, Navneet Singh, son of Bhupinder Singh, residing at House No. 848 near Akali Market Dera Bassi, Sushil Kumar, son of Jahagir Lal, residing at House No. 2608 Sector 38 C Chandigarh, and Nares Kumar, son of Vijay Kumar, residing near Bus Stop Mubarikpur, were operating a fraudulent government lottery sales center outside Gupta Nursing Home.

These individuals were misleading unsuspecting citizens, falsely claiming that their money was being invested in a government lottery. Acting on the information, the police conducted a raid, leading to the arrest of Naresh and Navneet. A sum of six thousand rupees, an iPhone, and an i20 car were recovered from their possession.

However, the third suspect, Sushil Kumar, managed to escape during the operation. The police have filed charges under Section 420, 120B IPC, and the Gambling Act against all three accused. The arrested individuals were presented in the Dera Bassi court, which remanded them into judicial custody.
