In April 2024, TVS Motor Company saw a significant rise in sales, with numbers jumping from 306,224 units last year to 383,615 units this year, marking a 25% increase. This growth was especially noticeable in the two-wheeler category, where sales surged from 294,786 units in April 2023 to 374,592 units in April 2024, showing a robust 27% growth.

Specifically focusing on domestic sales of two-wheelers, the company experienced a substantial uptick. From 232,956 units sold in April 2023, they saw a boost to 301,449 units in April 2024, showcasing a notable 29% rise in sales within the country.

In April 2024, sales of motorcycles at TVS Motor Company rose from 152,365 units last year to 188,110 units this year, marking a 24% increase. Similarly, scooter sales went up from 107,496 units in April 2023 to 144,126 units in April 2024, representing a 34% rise.

Transitioning to electric vehicles, after the conclusion of FAME II in March 2024, the new Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) 2024 kicked in during April 2024. TVS Motors reported selling 17,403 electric vehicles in April 2024, showing consistent high demand and ensuring a smooth shift. This was a notable increase from the 6,227 electric vehicles sold in April 2023.

TVS Motor Company’s total exports increased by 12% from April 2023 to April 2024, with sales going up from 71,663 units to 80,508 units. Two-wheeler exports specifically saw an 18% growth, rising from 61,830 units to 73,143 units during the same period.

In April 2024, the company sold 9,023 three-wheelers compared to 11,438 units sold in April 2023.
