TV Actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee’s close friend has been shot dead in the US. The former Big Boss contestant is currently seeking help from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar and the Indian Government.
The actor said her friend was on an evening walk when an unidentified person shot at her friend multiple times. She has requested the Indian government to help in bringing his body back from America.
A social media post by the TV actor grabbed everyone’s attention as she revealed the death of her close friend and dancer Amarnath Ghosh in the States.
She further wrote, “He was an excellent dancer, doing Ph.D. He had gone out for an evening walk when suddenly an unknown person shot him.” She appealed to the Indian Government, “Some friends in America are trying to bring the body, but there is no update about it yet. Indian Embassy, please look into it.”
She added, “Mr Ghosh was the only child in the family, mother died 3 years back and father passed away during his childhood.”
The news comes amid the increase in violence against the Indian-Americans in America in recent months.
