Former US President Donald Trump brought a young supporter to tears of joy during a surprise campaign stop in Philadelphia on Saturday.

According to the Daily Mail, the young fan, Timmy, was dressed in a navy-blue suit, red tie, and blonde wig, mimicking Trump’s iconic style. Trump warmly greeted the boy, gifted him a signed $20 bill, and posed for a photo, all amidst a crowd of onlookers and security personnel. The heartwarming moment was captured on camera and has since gone viral.

During the interaction, Trump told the crowd, “I like that kid!” and made a light-hearted remark to Timmy, who was overwhelmed with emotion on meeting his idol. “If your parents don’t want you, I’ll take you,” Trump quipped.

The encounter took place when Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, made an unexpected stop at Tony and Nick’s Steaks, a well-known food joint in Philadelphia, a crucial battleground state. During his visit, Trump reportedly left a generous $500 tip and wrote “no taxes on tips” on the receipt, emphasizing his plan for tax-free tips for restaurant workers, a policy aimed at appealing to blue-collar communities even in a largely Democratic city like Philadelphia.

The highlight of Trump’s visit to Philadelphia was his rally at Temple University, where he criticized President Joe Biden’s economic policies, citing a 34 percent approval rating for Biden among Pennsylvanians, according to Fox News. Speaking to supporters at the Liacouras Center’s 10,000-seat auditorium, Trump said, “Few communities have suffered more under the Biden regime than Philadelphia.”

Addressing issues of crime and safety, Trump claimed, “Under crooked Joe, the city of brotherly love is being ravaged by bloodshed and crime.” He assured the crowd that his administration would bring “law and order and safety back to our streets.”

Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral votes are seen as crucial for the upcoming election, potentially determining the outcome in November.
