Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday jointly inaugurated the ‘National Tribal Dance Festival’ and ‘Rajyotsava 2021’ at Science College ground in Raipur, along with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel.

In the event of ‘National Tribal Dance Festival’ and ‘Rajyotsava 2021’ to be held at Science College ground in Raipur from October 28 to November 1, artists from 27 states and 6 union territories of the country and the dance troupes from seven countries including Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Switzerland, Maldives, Palestine and Syria will participate and perform. More than a thousand artists from 27 states, 6 union territories and seven countries are going to perform over the period of three days from 28th – 30th October 2021.

More than 2000 tribal artists from India and Internationally represented the tribal communities at the festival, along with several government agencies, renowned tribal activists, national artists, national and also international media.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi appreciated Chhattisgarh Government In his congratulatory message, Gandhi stated: “On the occasion of National Adivasi Dance Festival 2021, I congratulate Chhattisgarh Government on providing a platform to Adivasi artists from across India to showcase their unique cultural traditions.”

Meanwhile, Soren said that this event organised by the Chhattisgarh government has given a ray of hope to the tribals. Baghel said that unity in diversity is the strength and identity of the state. Apart from the main event, to celebrate the “Tribal way of Life”and there was also sessions with experts in the life-style arena.
