Varun Dhawan Highlights Need For Change In Bollywood’s Leadership And Vision

Varun Dhawan has demanded a change in Bollywood, advising people in authority to adjust to the changing business environment. Varun stressed on Ranveer Allahabadia’s podcast that Bollywood needs to quit rehashing the same tales and welcome greater representation from tier-two and tier-three cities.

He stated, “We will all have to go ahead. People who are in the powerful positions right now, there is an age limit, those who are doing the same thing for years. They are only at the helm. I am not sure if they recognize it but it is important to change with time. We all will have to do it or we’ll lose relevance, including me.”

Varun acknowledged the difficulty of change but pointed out that newer stars are often surrounded by ‘yes men,’ making it harder for them to see the need for growth. He also said, “The upcoming stars or the ones who are still aspiring have these circles but those who are already on that stature, they don’t have these people around them. Stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, they are not delulu (delusional). They are aware of what is happening.” He also discussed how the challenges of newcomers have increased, with more options for careers like working in OTT, acting, and influencing.

Meantime, Varun is preparing for the theatrical release of Baby John on December 25, 2024. Besides Jackie Shroff, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Keerthy Suresh, Salman Khan also makes a cameo appearance in the movie. The film, being produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Priya Atlee, and Murad Khetani, has already generated much buzz.
