Tea Seller from Maharashtra Rakes in Lakhs Monthly with Innovative Approach

In a region where tea is a daily staple for many, a local tea seller in Maharashtra’s Dharashiv gained notable attention for his unique business model. Mahadev Nana Mali, a resident of Ter village, leveraged a distinct approach to tea selling that has proven to be highly lucrative. For the past 20 years, Mahadev Mali has been serving tea, despite having only completed the third grade. His business stands out due to his innovative method of taking orders over the phone. Regardless of weather conditions, from summer heat to monsoon rains, Mali ensures timely delivery of his orders.

To meet the demand of approximately 15,000 villagers in the area, Mali requires between 50 to 60 litres of milk daily. He operates with the help of his wife and two sons, and services both Ter and neighboring villages within a 2 to 3 kilometres radius. Each cup of tea is priced at just Rs 5.

Mali’s business sees substantial daily sales, ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 cups of tea. With this volume, his daily earnings range from approximately Rs 7,000 to 10,000. This significant income has contributed to a stable and prosperous household for Mali and his family.
