Party songs are a key weapon of the BJP and Congress’s intensive campaigning, which is taking place with several days to go before the Lok Sabha elections. A lot of leaders are using these songs as a rallying point, and politicians and other party officials are using social media to use musical performances to spread their ideas. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, has taken a unique stance among this zeal, demonstrating his dancing prowess to the BJP’s theme song. The video that shows this is apparently older even though it became viral.

During his election campaign rally in Lakhimpur district, Chief Minister Sarma danced in support of BJP candidate Pradan Barua from the Lakhimpur parliamentary constituency. Notably, Sarma also entertained crowds by dancing to the BJP’s theme song ‘Ek aur baar, Modi Sarkar’ at the conclusion of his meetings in the Jorhat constituency, prompting enthusiastic participation from the audience. Additionally, at the conclusion of rallies in Sivasagar and Mariani, he sang songs and danced, while urging the public for their support.

In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Assam, voting for 14 parliamentary seats will occur across the first three phases on April 19, April 26, and May 7. The BJP is contesting 11 out of the 14 seats, with its allies Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) contesting two seats (Barpeta and Dhubri) and UPPL on one seat (Kokrajhar).

In a separate development on March 27, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate and incumbent MP from the Jorhat parliamentary constituency, Topon Kumar Gogoi, along with numerous supporters, submitted his nomination papers at the Jorhat District Commissioner’s office for the first phase of parliamentary elections.
