The SOG is rigorously making arrests since the fraud in the Sub Inspector recruitment exam conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission has come to light. The decision to cancel the exam or not is still awaited. In this turmoil, trainee sub-inspectors at the Rajasthan Police Academy are feeling anxious. Many of them, along with their families, gathered at the home of resigned minister Kirodi Lal Meena to voice their concerns. They expressed to Kirodi that they had passed the exam honestly, yet now face suspicion from others. They pleaded for his help, stating that he is their only hope for restoring their honor and dignity.
Expressing his pain, the trainee SI said that SOG ADG VK Singh had said that those who have not done anything wrong need not fear. Now the situation has reached the point of cancellation of the recruitment exam. Due to which everyone is losing sleep. He said that the situation has become such that our family members are not able to go out of the house. Kirodi Lal Meena was demanding cancellation of this recruitment. In such a situation, now the trainee SI has come to him with a plea.
“I Will Decide Alone”
Kirodi Lal Meena addressed the trainee sub-inspectors, suggesting that they include him in the decision-making committee. He stated, “In this situation, I will decide alone.” The trainee SIs responded that his words carried more weight than those of the committee, emphasizing that if he spoke, it was akin to the government’s stance. They expressed uncertainty about how matters would unfold but hoped for justice, insisting they had all passed the exam honestly without wrongdoing. Kirodi acknowledged that these concerns should have been raised a month ago but assured them he would present their perspective to the government. He reiterated, “I have always stood by honest and hardworking individuals. My battle is against corruption and the paper mafia.”
When the police officers told their pain, the atmosphere became emotional
As the trainee officers shared their struggles with Kirori Lal Meena, the atmosphere grew emotional. One trainee SI from Renwal recounted, “I have a 5-year-old daughter. I promised her a bicycle if I became a police officer, but I haven’t been home for three months due to shame.” Another trainee mentioned leaving his position as a station master for this opportunity. A female trainee SI tearfully explained her situation: her father has been ill for eight years, and her mother has worked as a laborer to support their family. With three younger sisters depending on her, she had hoped to secure a job to help them continue their education. Desperate, she asked Kirori, “What will happen to my family now?”
