A tragic road accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. near the Kundli border in the Sonipat district of Haryana, adjacent to Delhi, involving a canter and a Delhi Police car. Two inspectors from the Delhi Police, Inspector Dinesh Beniwal from the special cell of the North West Delhi district, and ATO Inspector Ranveer from the Adarsh Nagar police station, lost their lives in the collision.

The severity of the accident is evident from the fact that both inspectors succumbed to their injuries on the spot, and the police car was severely damaged. According to media reports, Ram Kumar, a resident of Nagin Lake Apartment in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar, informed the police that Ranbir Chahal, an inspector in the Delhi Police and his niece’s husband, was traveling from Delhi to Sonipat with fellow policeman Dinesh Beniwal for some work.

The incident occurred when they reached Kundli on GT Road, and due to the sudden braking of the canter, the car collided with it. Both Inspector Ranbir Chahal, originally from Narwana in Jind, and ATO Dinesh Beniwal, a resident of Bahadurgarh in Jhajjar, lost their lives in the tragic accident.

Inspector Ranbir was posted as an additional SHO in the Adarsh Nagar police station, while Dinesh was assigned to the Special Cell of the North West District.The local police station is actively investigating the incident.
