A 26-year-old man was arrested under sections of culpable homicide in the Navsari district of Gujarat. He did not take the girl to hospital at the earliest, who bled profusely after intercourse. Instead, he sat online for hours looking up remedies while trying to once again make love with the girl. The girl finally died due to heavy bleeding.

According to an investigation by The Times of India, it is alleged that the perpetrator was googling “what to do to cease bleeding during intercourse” instead of seeking immediate medical help. Navsari SP Sushil Agrawal said, “The forensic report stated she died due to excessive bleeding. Instead of calling 108 or medical assistance, he contacted his friends and shifted her in a private vehicle after waiting for them”. Had she received emergency medical care with IV fluids, blood, and drugs, she would still be alive today.

The girl was a first-year nursing student who had been dating her boyfriend for seven months. She had met him three years ago and on September 23 they had registered in a hotel for more privacy. Still, after discovering she was bleeding, the defendant tried to continue again performing the intercourse and spent 60 to 90 minutes inside the hotel before leaving. She was pronounced dead at 2:15 PM in the hospital. According to a police officer, he cleaned up the bloodstains before leaving to destroy evidence.

According to a post-mortem report, she died of severance of private injuries and excessive blood loss resulting from hemorrhagic shock. The Jalalpore police have booked the man for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and destruction of evidence. “We need to reconstruct what transpired that day. We also want to know how he destroyed the evidence.” An investigator.
