Swearing-In Ceremony Find PM Modi, Highest BJP Leaders
Among the important BJP members who attended the event were Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda. Apart from leaders from NDA partners, there were several chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from BJP-run states who also came for the historical event.
Rekha Gupta, who won her inaugural election from the Shalimar Bagh constituency, was administered the oath of office by Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena.
Along with Rekha Gupta, BJP leaders Parvesh Sahib Singh and Ashish Sood were also sworn in as ministers in the new Delhi government. They joining the cabinet means a powerful administrative team is behind CM Gupta.
Parvesh Sahib Singh, a senior BJP leader, was sworn in as a minister and is likely to be assigned important portfolios in the Delhi government. His political background and grassroots connect will play an important role in framing governance policies.

Resounding Delhi Poll Victory of BJP
The BJP’s 48 out of 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections of February 5 marked a large victory. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on the other hand suffered a significant slide and won only 22 seats whereas in 2020 and 2015 they won 62 and 67 respectively.
The Congress Party kept falling in Delhi as it did not manage to carry one seat in three straight terms. Under Rekha Gupta’s leadership, the government of the BJP now prepares to keep its promises and define the future of Delhi.
