Presidential Cheers: Trump Receives Presidential Inaugural Diet Coke Bottle From Coca-Cola CEO

As the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump approaches, Coca-Cola has marked the occasion with a unique tribute—a Presidential Commemorative Diet Coke bottle. The exclusive gesture underscores Trump’s well-known fondness for the soda.

A Presidential Toast with Diet Coke

Coca-Cola Chairman and CEO James Quincey presented the commemorative bottle to Trump on Tuesday night. Theon the bottle reads: “The Inauguration of the President of the United States” with Trump’s name and the date, “January 20, 2025,” printed below.

Trump’s deputy communications director, Margo Martin, shared the moment on social media, posting an image of the bottle alongside the caption:
“Tonight, President Trump received the first-ever Presidential Commemorative Inaugural Diet Coke bottle from Coca-Cola Chairman James Quincey.”

Diet Coke Button Returns to the Oval Office

Trump’s fondness for Diet Coke is well-documented, with reports from his earlier presidency suggesting he consumed as many as 12 Diet Cokes daily. The infamous “Diet Coke button,” which he used to summon the beverage during his previous term, is expected to make a comeback in the Oval Office.

Coca-Cola’s Tribute to the Presidency

Accompanying the bottle was a message highlighting Coca-Cola’s legacy:
“Founded 126 years ago in Atlanta, Georgia, The Coca-Cola Company takes pride in producing beloved brands, generating over $58 billion in U.S. economic activity annually, and supporting more than 860,000 American jobs.”

Coca-Cola’s tradition of celebrating U.S. presidential inaugurations with commemorative bottles dates back decades, making this gesture a continuation of a long-standing practice.

Business Leaders Rally Behind Trump

Quincey’s gesture aligns him with other top executives, including Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Tesla and SpaceX’s Elon Musk, and Apple’s Tim Cook, who have engaged with Trump during pivotal moments of his political career.

As Trump prepares to be sworn in, this commemorative bottle serves as both a nod to his personal preferences and a symbolic celebration of his impending presidency.
