Three thugs stole a bag filled with two lakh rupees during the rice ceremony at home near Rani Bagh Garden in the Karni Vihar police station area and fled. The three thugs involved in the incident were captured in CCTV footage installed at the victim Rajesh Choudhary’s house. Based on this, an FIR was registered in the Karni Vihar police station by victim Rajesh Choudhary.
Victim Rajesh Choudhary explained that a program was going on at his home, which was part of his niece’s wedding. During this, people from society and family were present at the event. Rajesh’s grandfather, Hanuman Sahay Choudhary, had a bag containing two lakh one thousand rupees. While family members were present at the event, three young men arrived there dressed well.
The three first surveyed the area. During this, the thugs realised that Hanuman Sahay had money in the bag. Upon this, the three thugs surrounded Hanuman Sahay and started looking for an opportunity. But when they did not get a chance, the thugs pushed the waiter leaving with water, which caused the waiter to collide with Hanuman Sahay carrying the water tray. This created chaos.
Taking advantage of this, the thugs picked up the bag and fled from the event venue. The CCTV footage of the thugs leaving the scene has also been provided to the police.
CI Lakhamaram of Karni Vihar police station said that the three youths involved in the incident, who came to the wedding program in suit-boot attire, have been identified. Photos of these three thugs have been obtained from the victim’s family. The search for the thugs is underway.
