Following the alleged sexual assault of a three-year-old girl students by a school staff member on the premises, parents of kids attending a school in Noida organised a large-scale protest outside the establishment on Saturday.

A parent informed that the school would not respond to enquiries on the event and the safety of their children, leading to the cancellation of a parent-teacher conference that was set for this coming Saturday.

A different parent raised concerns about the school administration’s lack of openness and disregard for the security of the students.

The child’s mother has placed the blame for case management’s shortcomings on the school, saying that the institution disregarded the student’s accusations, which allowed the predator to pursue the girl twice.

Additionally, the girl’s parents have requested assistance from the media in their quest for their daughter’s justice in an open letter.

The mother said that on October 4, the kid was brought to a locked medical room within the school and subjected to sexual abuse by a cleaning staff member.

The guy then sprang out of a window and fled when a female staff member heard the kid scream and went inside the room.

A teacher, according to the mother, ultimately brought the youngster back to her class.

On October 7, the mother said, her daughter complained of pain in her private areas and refused to go to school. The paediatrician we saw with her prescribed some tests to rule out infection. As stated by the mother, “The doctor informed us the following day that there was no infection but the child had been sexually assaulted,” according to ToI.

Following counselling, the youngster disclosed that, on the playground at school, the “khana bhaiya,” as he was called, had pricked her intimate areas twice with a stick.

“Ghar par mat batana” (don’t talk about this at home) was the teacher’s response when she told them. After confronting the instructor, who once again downplayed the occurrence, the mother proceeded to the police and on October 9 filed a formal complaint.

“On October 8, I enquired about the two instances with the class instructor over the phone. I was taken aback when the instructor attempted to downplay the incident, stating that my daughter could have viewed an offensive web video and was retelling the events as her own. The mother expressed her surprise and questioned the teacher if watching a film would not cause her daughter to experience discomfort, redness, or rashes in her intimate areas.

The girl was questioned by the Child Welfare Committee and managed to identify the 30-year-old predator from Nithari village, who was subsequently arrested and charged under BNS section 65(2) (rape of a woman under 12 years) and relevant sections of the POCSO act.

Additionally, the CWC sent notice to the principal and the school, who stated that the parents had not discussed the event with them and that they were unaware of it.

Police discovered throughout their inquiry that both the girl’s class teacher and the security supervisor at the school knew about the attack but chose not to report it to the appropriate authorities. As stated in the reports, they were taken into custody on Thursday and accused of hiding a crime.
