The Michigan State University is currently mourning the death of their three students after a gunman opened fire at the main Campus of the University on Monday night.
For those who are unversed, let us tell you, as per a report by Reuters, the suspect in connection with the shooting who had killed three people and injured at least five is believed to be dead. As per the statement revealed by authorities, the suspect is found dead hours later from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The interim deputy police chief of the University revealed in his statement that the shots were fired in 2 different locations i.e., an academic building namely Berkey Hall and the Union Building of the State University.
The investigators who reached at the scene revealed that they found victims at both the locations after responding to the shooting which reportedly begins after 08:00 P.M. In another report, the university claimed that they didn’t received any prior threats before the bloodshed that took place on Monday.
As of now authorities believes that there is only one suspect in the case who has been found dead. The students, faculty and residents surrounding off-campus neighbourhood’ of East Lansing, about 90 miles to Detroit, had been sent to the “shelter in place.”
