Three individuals were charged for allegedly assaulting a youth in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district, an official reported. The incident occurred at the Registrar’s office in Guna around 9 PM on June 9, according to the First Information Report (FIR).

Cantt Guna police station in-charge Dilip Rajoriya told ANI, “A complainant, Abhishek Jain (24), has filed a complaint at the police station regarding an assault. Acting on this, we have registered an FIR against three individuals: Gaurav Jain, Rohan Chaudhary, and Rakesh Chaudhary.”

The complainant informed the police that the three accused had assaulted him. One of the accused is reportedly employed in the Excise Department, though the matter is under investigation, the officer said.

The FIR stated, “Around 9 PM on June 9, Abhishek Jain’s friend, Karan Singh Sisodia, informed him that one of the accused, Rohan Chaudhary, called and wanted to talk to Abhishek. Subsequently, Abhishek, along with his friends Naman Raghuvanshi and Karan Singh Sisodia, went to the Registrar’s office in Guna to meet Rohan Chaudhary.”

“They encountered the accused—Gaurav Jain, Rohan Chaudhary, and Rakesh Chaudhary—at the Registrar’s office. The accused asked who Abhishek Jain was. As soon as the complainant identified himself, the three accused began abusing him. When he asked them to stop, they started assaulting him, causing several injuries,” the FIR added.

The case was registered against the three accused under IPC sections 294 (Obscene acts and songs), 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation), and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).

It was noted that Gaurav Jain is a sub-inspector in the Excise Department, Guna.
