Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini says that in the last 10 years, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, there have been less talk and more work. In an interview with India News Haryana, Saini revealed the strategy of BJP to win 11 seats.
“Before 2014, there was less work and more talk. In these 10 years, the people of the country have been satisfied. Similarly, the work done under Manohar Lal Khattar’s government in the state is also being praised,” Saini said.
The CM said that when Khattar became the CM, the situation in the state was not good, there was an atmosphere of fear everywhere, and farmers were given a mere two rupees cheque in the name of compensation. About 2.67 billion rupees of compensation money to farmers was pending. As soon as he became CM, Khattar released the compensation.
Saini said that the system improved by the Manohar Lal government is being appreciated today. There has been significant improvement in the transfer policy in the state today; previously, transfers were made by taking bribes, but now it is done transparently and correctly.
“Today, in our government, the elderly are receiving respect allowances properly. In the previous government, the elderly were troubled. The central government has implemented schemes benefiting the general public. Previously, people faced significant difficulties in getting treatment, but today, the Modi government has worked on getting people treated through Ayushman cards, so now people don’t face any difficulties or problems.”
The CM said that the BJP has fielded its candidates, and people will vote based on the work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former CM Manohar Lal. Now, the sentiment among the people is that this is their government. Regarding the question of opposition to the candidates, the CM said that the people of the state know, the farmers also know, that Modi ji initiated the Farmer Income Scheme, which Congress opposed. Congress opposed the PM Crop Scheme.
The removal of Article 370 was also difficult for Congress. Modi ji thinks that India needs to reach new heights. Farmers are our brothers; Modi ji has done more work than Congress.
This agitation used to happen in Punjab and Rajasthan because crops were not purchased at MSP there. In Haryana, we have purchased 14 crops at MSP.
“Our government reduced the compensation to farmers by Rs 12,000 crore. Congress is not daring; Congress is tormenting the country.” Referring to Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the CM said, “The country was already united, who did the work of breaking it? Modi ji did the work of uniting India. Congress made the poor poorer, the Modi government worked to lift 25 crore people out of poverty line.”
When the list of Congress candidates was not released, he said, “The fun will come when the wrestler comes forward. I don’t know why the Congress list is not being released, these people are fighting among themselves, the ticket should not be given to this one, it should be given to that one? Today, there is only one guarantee, that is Modi ji’s guarantee.”
The CM said that there is no guarantee from the Congress. Modi ji has done work that is straightforward and easy. Today, within the country, we have trains like Vande Bharat. The Modi government is moving forward by addressing the concerns of every individual.
Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s slogan of eradicating poverty, Saini said, “How can he joke like this?
Modi ji has done the work of reducing poverty in the country.” Rahul’s father used to say, “I send one rupee from here, and there, 15 paise are received.” Saini said, “Where did the remaining 85 paise go?” Speaking about the JJP, he said that the JJP should not make mistakes. Whenever the BJP formed a government, it worked at a fast pace. When we talked about cooperation, the JJP did not cooperate. People have rejected the JJP; they have lost people’s trust.
The party whose legislators were elected have lost their trust. On becoming the CM, Nayab Singh Saini said that the BJP gave an opportunity to the grassroots worker. First, they fought the MLA’s election, then the MPs, and then the responsibility of the CM was given.
The BJP entrusts significant responsibilities to grassroots workers. I did not know that I was called to the meeting of the BJP legislative party as the president. In the meeting, I was told that you handle this responsibility. Orders of the organization are taken seriously. This happens in other parties; there is a thought of how a father becomes a CM and then his son. But in the BJP, the grassroots worker is given a chance.
On the dissatisfaction of Anil Vij and Kuldeep Bishnoi, he said, “I have spoken to Kuldeep Bishnoi, he is our senior leader, he has no dissatisfaction. Kuldeep Bishnoi is a resolved leader, and the party pays attention to everything. Anil Vij is our senior leader; we will continue to receive his support and blessings.” He said that the Congress did not respect Baba Saheb Ambedkar, while the BJP worked to honour Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Rahul Gandhi is behaving like a child. With a big victory, we will win 11 seats.
