Chef Khanna greeted the Ambanis in a uniquely Indian manner, involving them in a traditional ritual of lighting diyas—a gesture symbolizing continuity and celebration as Diwali approaches. The restaurant was adorned with six varieties of Isha’s favorite flowers, roses, and Ganga Jal, reflecting Khanna’s profound respect for Indian culture. Recently recognized with a prestigious three-star rating by The New York Times, it became the first Indian restaurant in nearly 25 years to achieve such an honor. The restaurant’s unique fusion of Indian flavors and British-inspired club ambiance has garnered popularity among both locals and international patrons.
Bungalow’s exclusivity is highlighted by its reservation system, which opens 15 days in advance, with seats selling out almost instantly. This overwhelming demand has solidified its reputation as one of the most sought-after dining venues in New York.
