Two-day Krishna Janmashtami festival in ISKCON Dwarka offering 1.25 lakh dishes to God increase devotion towards Krishna and get his love
As much as celebrating the birth of Supreme God Lord Krishna is full of joy in itself, it is equally wonderful to see his divine archetype on this day. The charming image of a dark complexioned man with a beautiful face holding a flute in his hands and a peacock feather in his hair forces most of the people to become his devotees. He binds everyone with the string of his love. Therefore, everyone can become a devotee of Krishna very easily by thinking about Krishna, seeing him, paying obeisance and offering food-prasad. One can experience ultimate peace. To provide this ultimate peace, a two-day Krishna Janmashtami festival is being celebrated on 6th and 7th September at ISKCON Dwarka Delhi Sri Sri Rukmini Dwarkadhish Temple.
Lakhs of devotees will be welcomed in special waterproof pandal
Special waterproof pandals enhancing the beauty of the temple premises from the entrance gate are ready to welcome you. This time more than five lakh devotees will avail the special darshan of the Lord for which preparations are going on in full swing.
Attractive ‘Selfie Points’
There are also many attractive places like ‘selfie points’, where you will be reminded of the childhood pastimes of Krishna. How the Lord used to play pranks in his father’s Nand Bhawan, how he gave a few grains of grain to the fruit seller with his tiny hands and took fruits in return but filled her basket with gems. Krishna’s childhood activities in this Nand Bhawan made of thermocol will definitely take you to Mathura-Vrindavan. You can also enjoy and benefit from celebrating the birth of God by sitting in the courtyard of God.
Similarly, another ‘Kalia Nag Wala Selfie Point’ will also seem to show you Krishna Leela. When Lord Krishna danced on the hoods of the snake Kalia, which poisoned the waters of the river Yamuna. When he could not defeat Shri Krishna, he understood that he is the Supreme Lord Lord Shri Krishna and he would have to take refuge in him.
Similarly, at ‘Goverdhan Wale Selfie Point’ you can cooperate with God in lifting Govardhan. When Lord Indra caused torrential rains in the village of Vrindavan because Krishna had stopped the yagya performed for him, then Shri Krishna saved the people of Vrindavan by lifting the Govardhan mountain with one finger of his hand and everyone helped him in this task. Was.
Another selfie point in which Lord will be seen feeding butter to monkeys. You will easily be able to guess that God’s monkeys did not drink frutti at that time but used to eat butter with gusto. You can also come here and take selfie while feeding butter to monkeys. In this way, by remembering the many pastimes of God, one can attain immense joy.
Various presentations by school children
Two days before Janmashtami, dances and dance dramas will be presented on shloka songs and spiritual songs by the children of various schools of ISKCON Dwarka and Gopal Fun School (GFS), ISKCON Girls Forum (IGF) and ISKCON Youth Forum (IYF). Events like Kalia Daman, Radha-Krishna Leela, Radha-Gopi dance, Ashta-Sakhi dance attract not only children but also elders on this day. Children will be rewarded for their better performance on Krishna Janmashtami on 6th and 7th September.
1.25 lakh offering
On this Janmashtami, 1.25 lakh bhog will be offered to God. Preparations for making dry prasad made of dry fruits have started many days in advance. Different types of laddus, panjiri and dry fruits barfi are being made for enjoyment. After the offering, it will be distributed as Prasad among the devotees. The Lord will be installed in the pandal at 9 pm and Maha Abhishek will be performed with divine liquids at 10 pm. After that there will be Maha Aarti. Then after the offering of food and Krishna’s birth at night, there will be a cake cutting celebration and then there will be a program of Prasad distribution.
Celebrate Krishna Janmotsav with a spirit of service: President, ISKCON Dwarka
ISKCON Dwarka President Pradyuman Priya Das says, “Throughout the year devotees please the Lord by serving him through shravan, kirtan and dance. On the day of Lord’s appearance in the Krishna Janmashtami festival, the new devotees should be welcomed and pleased. God is very quickly pleased with the service of the devotees. Be it the rush to have darshan or the rush to get prasad, in such a situation service is the biggest panacea by which both the devotee and God can be pleased. As per the ancient marital tradition and even today, just as the bride’s party was always ready to welcome the wedding guests, similarly on the Krishna Janmotsav, we should warmly welcome the guests of God. With this you can become worthy of both God’s blessings and love.”
Make children aware of Krishna’s childhood pastimes: Manager ISKCON Dwarka Archit Prabhu, head manager of the temple, says, “We celebrate this special festival of the year, Krishna Janmashtami, with great enthusiasm. All of you come here with your friends and family, bring the children, make them know about Krishna’s pastimes on the pretext of taking selfies, so that the children develop a desire to know their Vedic culture. They should see God in the form of a devotee and receive His love.”
