Telangana: Y S Sharmila seeks fulfillment of bifurcation promises and initiates probe into Kaleshwaram

“Laments about the delay and negligence for one decade,” says KCR, “has no guts to question Modi on pending projects.”

On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Hyderabad, today, Y S Sharmila demanded that the long-pending bifurcation promises be fulfilled and funds be announced for the state, during his visit. “The people of Telangana welcome the Honourable Prime Minister with a long list of challenges, issues, and unfulfilled promises. It has been nine years but the bifurcation issues and promises have not been addressed till date. The annual budgets of the NDA government don’t bother to cater sufficient funds to Telangana and its projects. On the occasion of his visit, we appeal to the Prime Minister to announce funds for the state and various projects.”

In her Tweet, Y S Sharmila said, “We have been tirelessly fighting against Kaleshwaram project corruption. The BJP leaders themselves termed the project as an ATM for KCR but have not taken any action or initiated any investigation. We have complained to the CAG and CBI but of no use. We expect concrete steps in this regard, where you rise above your political interests.”

“We know, KCR has no guts to question the PM on the pending projects and promises. His party’s fight is limited to social media and comments made in farmhouse. No sooner does the PM leave, they roll out their barbs, and this is nothing but sham. YSR Telangana Party, committed to the wellbeing of Telangana will continue to question those who are responsible and accountable for the progress of the state,” added Sharmila.
