Honorable Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel graces the occasion of artisans from across the country set up stalls at Kalinga Cultural Centre in Hyderabad, April 7.
Along with honorable Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has called upon the people to support and patronize the artisans in order to save, promote, and perpetuate the skilled craftsmanship.
She saluted the artisans for keeping their tradition of crafts for centuries by passing on from one generation to another. Dr. Tamilisai Soundarajan, along with Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel, has launched the “Craftroots Exhibition-2023” at Kalinga Cultural Centre, here, on Thursday.
The Governor stated that our country has unique cultural traditions and artisans from across the country are showcasing their exquisite native craft works thus reflecting the rich cultural diversity of the country.
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has appreciated the Craftroots Exhibition for providing a common platform for grassroots artisans.
“I am sure, the art and craft lovers of Hyderabad, will take pride in visiting this exhibition and patronizing the artisans and promoting the unique handicrafts,” she said.
The Governor said that it was high time that these unique handicrafts promoted at the global level in the true spirit of the vocal for local initiative launched by honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
She said that our handicrafts have been an integral part of our rich cultural heritage for centuries and they deserve sustained promotion and marketing at the global level leveraging the technology and other e-commerce platforms.
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan thanked the honorable Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel and Craftroots founder Anarben Patel for the initiative in organizing the prestigious craftroots exhibition-2023 in Hyderabad.
