On Saturday, the Godavari river water level in the Bhadrachalam town of the Bhadradri Kothagudem district exceeded the danger mark due to the heavy rainfall throughout Telangana. As a result, the district authorities issued an alert.

Officials report that the Godavari river in Bhadrachalam has a 56-foot water level. 56 feet of water cover the Godavari. Even if the water level rises to 60 feet, we are prepared to handle any situation, according to district officials. According to officials, relief efforts are being made in the local villages, and all district officials are on high alert.

All departments are coordinating. We are ready to face and overcome any situation. All Bhadrachalam officials are on alert and ready. The Collector is also giving regular instructions on how to overcome the situation. Today, Minister Ajay along with Collector and other officials visited the Godavari River, observed the water levels and also did an aerial survey, added the Bhadrachalam RDO.

On July 27, Bhadradri Kothagudem District Collector Priyanka Ala said, “About 27 colonies and villages have been evacuated. This is due to the rising water level of the River Godavari in Telangana’s Bhadrachalam. There have been 2321 people in 790 families who have already been evacuated. Rescue efforts have begun, and they have been going on since last night. 80 tourists who had become trapped in the Muthyala Dhara waterfalls in the Mulugu district early on Thursday were rescued by a team from the National Disaster Response Force after the water flow had increased the previous day. The rescue effort that had been initiated overnight has been finished, according to the police, and all of the tourists are in good health.
