Telangana CM KCR inaugurates futuristic Dr BR Ambedkar Telengana secretariat

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao inaugurated the iconic Dr BR Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat building today (Sunday, 30 April), with the intention that people’s representatives and the entire government machinery should work to realise the ideals of the Architect of the Indian Constitution.
On this occasion, CM KCR addressed a gathering of Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Secretaries, Heads of all the Departments, and the Secretariat Staff in the new Secretariat premises.
On this occasion, he congratulated the people’s representatives and all government officials. The CM said that today is a red-letter day in the history of Telangana as the new state-of-the-art secretariat is inaugurated with fervour and much enthusiasm.
He said he considered it the opportunity of a lifetime to have inaugurated this “magnificent secretariat complex”. The marvellous structure is 265 feet tall and spread over an area of 10, 51,676 square feet on 28 acres of land.
CM KCR signed several files on the opening day of the new secretariat. He gave his nod to the implementation of the Dalit Bandhu Scheme.
The Chief Minister signed the file pertaining to extending Dalit Bandu benefits to 1100 beneficiaries each in 118 Assembly constituencies. (Except in Huzurabad, where the scheme has already been implemented.
The Telangana CM gave his approval to the distribution of Podu land titles. In the month of May, the district-wise distribution programme will be undertaken. 1 lakh, 35 thousand beneficiaries will be provided the land titles for about 3.9 lakh acres.
CM KCR also approved the KCR Nutrition Kit for pregnant women. The kits will be distributed in all the districts.
As the government targets distributing 13.08 lakh kits across the state, 6.84 lakh pregnant women will benefit from this scheme. The cost of each KCR nutrition kit is Rs 2000. For this, the government allocated Rs. 277 crore.
