The clip begins with the schoolboy confidently speaking on the academic issues while blissfully unaware of the fact that his audience happened to be two IIT students. Mistaking them for Class 10 students who were finding trigonometry difficult, he unknowingly started doling out unsolicited advice, recommending them to finish the NCERT Exemplar for Mathematics. His claim that the syllabus was easier than Class 11 pointed to the ignorance of the schoolboy regarding the credentials of his audience. The IITians were having a tough time restraining their laughter in the entire dialogue exchange.

“I mean, trigonometry is pretty basic, right?” the boy said seriously, leaving the IIT students barely able to contain their giggles.

A Humbling Exit

As the discussion continued, it became evident that the schoolboy’s confidence was misdirected. The IITians, steeped in advanced mathematics, found the situation both entertaining and puzzling. Eventually, the schoolboy exited the conversation, visibly red-faced by the surprise comedy of errors.

Here’s how the internet reacted

The video has garnered over a thousand likes and upped the ante on reaction comments. Some comments ranged from amusement to empathy; one user could not help but claim, “This kid has no idea who he is talking to!” Another commented, “I still cannot believe he thought they were in Class 10!” ” A third commented, “His confidence is unmatched, though!” Meanwhile, a user quipped, “This is what happens when you underestimate your audience.” A second one added, “Classic case of overconfidence!undefined” And finally, one viewer mentioned, “I’m just glad they were nice about it!undefined”
