The Vivo V80 Lite 5G is attracting attention ahead of its international debut, primarily because of its reported 10,000mAh battery. Vivo has confirmed that the smartphone will launch in Malaysia on September 3, 2026, while its official Malaysian store has already opened pre-booking. Although the company has revealed some details, including 5G connectivity and colour options, several specifications, pricing details and availability plans for other markets remain unconfirmed.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G Launch Date Confirmed
The Vivo V80 Lite 5G is set to make its international debut soon, with Vivo confirming a September 3 launch in Malaysia. The upcoming smartphone is drawing attention mainly because of its huge 10,000mAh battery, which would make it Vivo’s first phone with this battery capacity to launch outside China.
Vivo’s official Malaysian online store has already opened pre-booking for the V80 Lite and lists the phone as a 5G model. The store is confirming that the device is moving closer to commercial availability.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G Design And Colours
The Malaysian version of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G is expected to feature a flat frame and flat rear panel. The rear design includes a square-shaped camera module with a 50MP primary camera. Vivo’s Malaysian store lists three colour options: Pink, Green and Black.
Interestingly, earlier teasers linked to other markets showed a curved design. This difference, along with multiple model numbers appearing in certification databases, suggests that Vivo could offer market-specific versions of the V80 Lite rather than using exactly the same hardware everywhere.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G 10,000mAh Battery
The biggest confirmed feature of the Malaysian Vivo V80 Lite 5G is its 10,000mAh battery. Vivo is positioning the phone around long battery life, making the large-capacity cell one of its major selling points.
Vivo has previously used a battery larger than 10,000mAh in the China-exclusive Vivo Y600 Pro. The V80 Lite is significant because the 10,000mAh capacity is now being brought to an international market. Actual battery endurance will still depend on the display, processor, software and usage patterns.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G Expected Specifications
Vivo has not yet published the complete specification sheet, so several hardware details should still be treated as unconfirmed.
Recent certification and database listings point to multiple V80 Lite variants. The V2643 model appeared on Geekbench with an alleged MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, 8GB RAM and Android 16. Another model, V2626, has been linked to a different chipset configuration, indicating that specifications could vary by market.
Earlier listings have also pointed to a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. A 50MP primary camera, an ultrawide camera and a front camera have also been reported for some versions, but Vivo has not confirmed these specifications for every market.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G Price Expectations
Vivo has not announced the official price of the V80 Lite 5G in Malaysia or other international markets. The company is expected to reveal pricing and complete specifications at or around the September 3 launch.
The lack of confirmed pricing also means that current India price estimates should be treated cautiously. Different hardware configurations across markets could result in different prices.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G India Availability
An India launch has not been officially confirmed yet. The phone has appeared in Indian retail teasers and multiple database listings, which suggests that Vivo could be considering an India release, but there is currently no confirmed India launch date.
The Google Play Supported Devices listing has also connected some V80 Lite model numbers with the Vivo S2’s model number, leading to speculation that the V80 Lite could be a rebranded version of the S2 in certain markets. However, this does not confirm that the Indian version will have identical specifications.
Disclaimer: Specifications, pricing and availability outside Malaysia may vary by market. Unconfirmed hardware details are based on certifications, database listings and reports and should not be treated as final until officially announced by Vivo.
