Indian auto manufacturer Mahindra has announced price cuts on its car models. This includes the popular Mahindra Scoprio; check its updated price under the new GST classification.

On Saturday, Indian car manufacturer Mahindra announced rate cuts on all its models following the latest revisions to GST. The automaker shared the revised rates on their social media accounts. These price cuts include all of their major models, including the Mahindra Scorpio and Scorpio N. The auto manufacturer also took it a step further by offering customers these benefits weeks before competitors, encouraging consumers to buy their vehicles.

The auto manufacturer took to its social media accounts to share the announcement. They wrote, “Why wait? Get GST benefits starting NOW.” Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, also shared the poster writing, “Action. Not just promises.”

Mahindra Scorpio — NEW GST TENTATIVE RATE LIST OLD VS NEW PRICE COMPARISON

Mahindra Scorpio is a go-to choice for SUV lovers due to its bold look and rugged nature. However, under its previous GST classification, buyers had to pay an additional 48% of GST and Cess, which drove up its cost. 

As per the latest GST revisions, the Mahindra Scorpio is now classified under the 40% GST slab, and future owners can enjoy the relief of an 8% reduction in tax rates.

How Much Will the Mahindra Scorpio Cost After the New 40% GST from 6 September?

Under the revised GST classifications, Mahindra costs have dropped by a small margin. New buyers can enjoy the Mahindra Scorpio Classic with GST benefits of up to ₹1.01 lakh. Similarly, the price of the Scorpio N has dropped by ₹1.45 lakh.

The auto manufacturer also announced that consumers can avail the benefits of the GST revisions from 6th September, a stark contrast to the competitors who’re sticking to 22nd September.

What is the old vs new GST rate on the Mahindra Scorpio?

Before the GST revisions, the Mahindra Scorpio was being taxed at 48% (GST and Cess). Following the 56th GST Council meeting on Wednesday, Scorpio will be taxed at 40% effective from 22nd September 2025.

The price cut, which comes as a result of the new GST slab, has affected a wide range of Mahindra products. From the entry-level XUV3XO to their more popular models, such as Scorpio or the Mahindra Thar Roxx, the price cut has come as a pleasant surprise for all consumers.
