Canon fans may not have to wait long for new gear. According to reliable sources, Canon has two major announcement dates set for this year. If all goes as planned, new products will be revealed on November 16, 2025 and November 26, 2025.

Two Canon Announcement Dates in November

Canon will make big announcements in November, and both dates are considered 99% accurate. If nothing unexpected happens, photographers and videographers will see at least one new camera and possibly new lenses.

Industry insiders strongly believe one of these announcements will finally bring the Canon EOS R6 Mark III. Many expected the camera to debut in early 2026 during CP+ in February, but it now looks like Canon is preparing to launch it before the end of this year.

EOS R6 Mark III: What to Expect

While Canon has not officially confirmed the model, sources are confident that the EOS R6 Mark III is the next full-frame camera in the pipeline. The camera is rumored to share a sensor similar to or related to the Cinema EOS C50.

This connection makes sense because Canon plans to ship the Cinema EOS C50 in December. Releasing both cameras around the same time would streamline production and give Canon a strong presence in both the cinema and hybrid camera markets.

Reports also suggest that Canon has already begun producing units of the EOS R6 Mark III, which points toward an imminent launch.

Will Canon Announce the Cinema EOS C50 Too?

The Cinema EOS C50 has been delayed for some time. Insiders believe Canon waited to gauge production numbers and demand before committing to mass shipping. Since this cinema camera will sell in smaller numbers compared to the EOS R6 Mark III, Canon likely timed the launches together.

This dual release would give content creators both a cinema-focused option and a hybrid full-frame upgrade.

New Lenses in the Pipeline

Alongside the upcoming camera, Canon is also preparing new RF lenses. Sources say at least four lenses are in the near-term development pipeline, though it is unclear which will launch in November.

One strong candidate is the RF 300-600mm f/4-5.6 L IS. This lens is already in final testing and is being used for marketing content ahead of its release.

This super-telephoto zoom could also feature a VCM focus motor, which Nikon has successfully used in its high-end telephoto lenses. If true, Canon would be stepping up its autofocus technology for wildlife, sports, and professional photography.

Why November Matters for Canon

Announcing new products in November makes strategic sense. It gives Canon time to start shipping before the holiday season and aligns with global camera industry cycles. Photographers looking to upgrade or add to their kit may see the EOS R6 Mark III and new lenses available in December 2025.

For professionals, the EOS R6 Mark III promises a major upgrade in performance and low-light capabilities. The addition of the RF 300-600mm lens would also strengthen Canon’s lens lineup for sports and wildlife shooters.
