TVS Motor Company is going to enter the adventure-tourer segment with the launch of its all-new Apache RTX 300. The launch will mark another step in the expansion of the Indian motorcycle company into a new and growing space. With the launch of Apache RTX 300, the homegrown brand will go head-to-head against established names in the space, with an aim to capture a respectable market share.
Apache RTX 300 Launch Date
TVS will officially enter the adventure tourer segment with the launch of the Apache RTX 300 on October 15. The specifications and price of the bike have been kept secret, but it is expected to feature a new 299cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine.
Apache RTX 300 Design: Purpose-Designed Adventure Tourer
Apache RTX 300 has been making headlines since its prototype was introduced earlier, when it was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. New design patents and test sightings now show an aggressive, rugged-appearing design, including twin LED headlamps, a sharp-shaped fuel tank, and long-range ride-friendly ergonomics.
The trellis-type frame of the motorcycle is aimed towards a combination of solidity and riding comfort. It has an upswept exhaust, split-pillion grab rail, and luggage rack that emphasise its adventuresome orientation.

Apache RTX 300 Powertrain and Technology
At the heart of this new model lies a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine built on TVS’s RT-XD4 platform. The motorcycle is expected to feature a new 299cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which will deliver close to 35 horsepower and 28.5 Nm of torque. It will come with a six-speed transmission for seamless shifting during city and highway stints. The RTX 300 will also feature upside-down forks in the front and a monoshock rear suspension, suitable for a mix of terrains and riding conditions.
Technology incorporation appears to be a priority, and TVS will probably equip the bike with full-LED headlights, a TFT digital instrument display, and ride-by-wire throttle. Multiple riding modes, dual-channel ABS boosted safety, and traction control round out the list of hi-tech components set to become a reality when it exits the factory.
Apache RTX 300 Price and Market Position
TVS hasn’t made it official, but the rumoured price of the motorcycle is estimated to be between ₹2.5 to ₹2.9 lakh (ex-showroom), aiming to position it against bikes like the KTM 250 Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX. By targeting just that right positioning and thoughtfully picked feature set, TVS aims to entice Indian bikers looking for a new adventuresome alternative that doesn’t come at a cost of contemporary facilities or durability.
What to Expect During Apache RTX 300 Launch
The Official launch has been scheduled for October 15, and TVS will announce final specifications, prices, and booking information. Pre-launch buzz has been good, particularly considering there has been little buzz around technical information and hype over the brand venturing into a new category. Apache RTX 300’s launch will bring much-needed choice to the mid-capacity ADV sector, and TVS’s tried and tested reputation for strong design and after-sales service will have a bearing on many prospective customers. It’s a timely launch, aimed at the upcoming festive period, which may provide TVS with good initial traction as the adventure-touring motorcycle genre picks up momentum throughout India.
