Union Minister and BJP national president JP Nadda penned a letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge concerning the fatalities caused by illegal alcohol in Tamil Nadu.
The letter reads, “I was shocked that when such a huge disaster has taken place, the Congress party led by you has maintained a stoic silence on this. At this juncture, the BJP and the entire nation indeed demand that you press upon the DMK-INDI Alliance Tamil Nadu government to go for a CBI probe and ensure the immediate removal of Muthuswamy as minister….”

Previously, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman expressed disapproval of Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi’s handling of the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy in Tamil Nadu. This incident led to the unfortunate loss of more than 50 lives and the hospitalization of almost 200 individuals.
