Reflecting on Taiwan’s resilience over the last 50 years, Tsai highlighted how provocations and misinformation have strengthened Taiwanese society’s pragmatism. She reiterated Taiwan’s commitment to strengthening its defense and collaborating with regional stakeholders to ensure peaceful solutions and long-term stability.
Tsai announced that the next Halifax International Security Forum will be hosted in Taiwan. She expressed optimism about working with global partners who share Taiwan’s values and vision for peace.
The Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the US, Japan, and Australia for their joint statement from the Trilateral Defence Ministers’ Meeting in Darwin, Australia. The statement reaffirmed their dedication to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
The Taiwan Presidential Office Spokesperson also shared the joint statement on X, underscoring Taiwan’s appreciation for international cooperation in maintaining regional security.
