A Delhi man found himself in an embarrassing situation after ordering condoms through Swiggy Instamart, intending to catch a bus to Nainital later that evening. He opted for the convenience of having the package delivered to his office reception, assuming it would be discreetly packaged.

To his shock, the condoms arrived in a transparent pink plastic bag, leaving him red-faced.

“Swiggy Instamart ruined me!” shared Reddit user Manan Singh in a post on the platform’s Delhi community. Explaining his predicament, he wrote, “Buying condoms isn’t a big deal, but I usually order them from Blinkit because they send them in a discreet brown package. This time, I decided to try Swiggy Instamart, assuming they’d follow similar packaging norms.”

Manan further admitted, “Like an idiot, I told them to drop it off at the office reception desk.”

The situation worsened when the see-through package was left in plain sight of the receptionist. “Now, the entire office probably thinks I do seggs at work!” he added, expressing his discomfort.

Reddit Reacts

The post, accompanied by a picture of the pink bag, quickly went viral on Reddit, gathering over 8,700 upvotes and sparking lively discussions. While some users empathized, others responded with humor.

The incident underscores the importance of discretion in deliveries, especially for sensitive items. Although Manan acknowledged his assumption about Swiggy Instamart’s packaging, the experience serves as a lesson for service providers to prioritize customer privacy.
