Who will be the next Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah or DK Shivakumar? Now it is a mystery because the Congress party is undecided as to whether to hand the position to Siddaramaiah or DK Shivakumar.

DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah have been called separately to meet Kharge. Siddaramaiah may meet likely at 6 PM. DK Shivakumar soon expected to meet the high command.

DK Shivakumar arrived in Delhi, where he met Mallikarjun Kharge and talked about the establishment of the Karnataka government. He arrived at the airport in Delhi an hour ago. Shivakumar was silent after landing at the airport. He made the ‘namaste’ greeting while grinning.

Rahul Gandhi, the senioor Congress leader, reportedly spoke with Mallikarjun Kharge about forming of a government in Karnataka.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has been tasked by the grand-old party to select one of them to fill the position of CM, today (16 May), Kharge, a seasoned politician in Karnataka, may announce the identity of the CM. The battle to become the next chief minister of Karnataka has raged on for the past three days, as both candidates contributed significantly to the Congress party’s crushing victory in the recently concluded state assembly elections, and the party won 135 of the 224 assembly seats, and unseated its rival BJP.

They had a closed-door meeting at Kharge’s house. Randeep Surjewala, the general secretary of the Congress was also present at the meeting.

Earlier, Congress Karnataka President DK Shivakumar came out of Delhi’s airport, maintaining silence. His supporters had to wait for two hours to see a glimpse of their favourite leader.
