“Call Rhea to the police station and pressurise her… Put Miranda behind the bars for a day, so he will start spilling the beans…” These are the excerpts of the WhatsApp messages which Sushant Singh Rajput’s brother-in-law O.P. Singh, who is also a senior IPS officer, had sent to Mumbai’s Deputy Commissioner of Police Paramjit Singh Dahiya asking him to pressurise Rhea Chakraborty in the month of February 2020.

Speaking to The Daily Guardian, Mumbai DCP Dahiya has revealed that Sushant’s brother-in-law had approached him twice in the month of February (on 19th and 25th February) and even talked to him over phone. According to the Mumbai top cop, Singh had gone to Mumbai in the same month to attend a family function with his wife. Later, he wanted to meet Sushant and approached Dahiya to send a policeman to Sushant’s house to intimate the actor about his arrival in Mumbai.

When TDG asked him why he wanted to send a policeman to the actor’s house, Dahiya said, “It was unusual. But he was a senior officer. How could’ve I counter-questioned him? So, we acceded to the request.” Making these revelations, Dahiya further said that Sushant’s brother-in-law wanted him to handle the lady (Rhea) informally. “He told me that we should call her to the police station and pressurise her. I politely told him that without a written complaint, it wasn’t possible.’ After that, he did not pursue it,” Dahiya revealed.
