Sushant SIngh Rajput’s old friend Kushal Zaveri who worked with the actor in TV serials like Pavitra Rishta and Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil, has revealed that the late actor’s assistant Dipesh Sawant had approached him and said that Sushant wanted to talk about a Flipkart deal with him.

Kushal who directed serial Pavitra Rishta and also lived with the actor for sometime said that Sushant had told his personal assistant to contact him about the Flipkart deal on 13 June. The next day, Dipesh sent a message to Kushal at 10.50 am and told him that bhai (Sushant) wanted to know about the deal. The next day Kushal woke up shocked at 2 pm when another friend informed him about Sushant’s suicide. Later, he tried to contact the actor but his phone was switched off.

Sushant’s friend exclusively told The Daily Guardian that he also had a chat with Sushant on 1 June, two weeks before his death. A WhatsApp chat between them has revealed that Sushant had himself approached Kushal to know about his well-being. In his message Sushant wrote, “How are you bhai? I hope you are healthy and rocking. Miss you.” To which Kushal replied, “Glad to hear from you bhai. Health-wise all is well but the struggle is for everyone and I am no exception.”

Later, Sushant went on to open his heart about how he was spending time during lockdown and also shared his future plans with his friend. He had also expressed his wish to connect with him again. In his reply to Kushal, he said, “Working on myself spiritually and trying to grow. Whenever I introspect, I really miss our golden days together. How precious they are. I just wanna say that the work we did together are something we should be proud of, find ways to continue with it and that we are always together. Please give my love to Sid too and tell him I miss him a lot. Much love (sic).”
