In connection with Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case, Mumbai Police is all set to grill filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and will record his statement on Monday, 6 July. According to sources, cops are now probing all angles of possible personal and professional rivalries in the case and will also inquire reasons behind the actor’s depression.

So far, Mumbai Police have recorded statements of 29 people. The actor’s rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, casting director Mukesh Chhabra, Yash Raj Films casting director Shanoo Sharma and actor Sanjana Sanghi, who was the actor’s co-star in her debut film Dil Bechara. Some close friends, family members, among others have already recorded their statements before the police.

After his demise, speculations were raised that Bhansali offered the actor 2-3 films under his big banner but things didn›t work out between them due to date issues. Also, some sources also say that Sushant had already signed a contract with another big production house and due to which the bond between them couldn’t come up.

Bhansali considered Rajput as one of the finest actors, thus he approached him not once but two to three times for big films. These films were massive hits at the box office but Sushant couldn›t do them.

Sushant, 34, was found hanging at his Bandra apartment on 14 June 2020, and was reportedly battling depression for the past few months.
