The Supreme Court, on Tuesday, announced its decision that there will be no re-examination for the 2024 NEET-UG. After going through several petitions, Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud said that there is nothing in the available data that points to a “systemic breach” or that the test’s “sanctity” has been compromised.

It was realized at the hearing that 155 students from Hazaribagh and Patna were likely beneficiaries of fraudulent activities. Notwithstanding these concerns, the court has taken a view that a re-test is not necessary; this means the results of the examination will still be valid. This decision underlines, once more, the court’s commitment towards maintaining the integrity of the competitive examination process.
