It is most unfortunate that the law and order has collapsed as everyday four to five incidents of kidnappings, looting, ransom and murders are taking place every day. One had heard of “Gangs of Wasipur” but now the “Gangs of Punjab are a sad reality, said BJP Punjab Chief Sunil Jakhar. “The Chief Minister needs to focus on administration instead of being “ Poster and Selfie “ obsessed. The alarming trend of broad daylight murders, shootings, and ransom demands is a new phenomenon that has emerged under the AAP government in the state, said Jakhar.
Quoting yesterday’s incident Jakhar said that one had heard of Gangs of Wasipur but now Gangs of Punjab is a sad reality. The Chief Minister’s fundamental duty is to provide safety of life and property and maintain law and order in the state. On the contrary, he is busy with publicity campaigns and gimmicks as he cycles the public to face the wrath of gangs. Regrettably, the people of the state have got a “ raw deal”, said Jakhar.
Four to five incidents of kidnappings, ransom, looting, and murders are taking place every day in the state which was peaceful in not distant past. The number of murders has also increased. In act, on 1 November when the entire Punjab police had been deployed in Ludhiana for the charade by AAP, a murder took place in the city in broad daylight. This incident reflects the dire situation of the total collapse of deteriorating law and order.
Notably CM Mann on 15 September in a much-hyped “ Sarkar Sanatkar Milini had announced that 14 additional Police Chowkis would be formed at strategic locations in the state to the demand of businessmen. One chowki was announced at Jalandhar Focal Point, two for Hoshiarpur, and one each for Bhatinda and Fatehgar Sahib, Patiala, Doraha, Mohali, and Ludhiana. He was responding to the main pertinent request of the businessmen that their safety and workers safety was a major concern as looting and kidnappings were rampant.”The Chief Minister needs to understand his colossal responsibility to ensure safety of the public. Gimmicks are no substitute for good governance, reasoned Jakhar.
The State Party President here on a function of chaath Puja while interacting with party workers appealed to them to get ready for a larger responsibility and commitment to fight to protect the interests of the state and oust AAP in the ensuing Municipal elections. Senior leadership Parminder Brar State General Secretary and in-charge Ludhiana, Anil Sarin State General Secretary, Jitinder Mittal Vice President, Rajesh Dhiman District President, Gurdev Sharma Debi accompanied Jakhar at the function.
