Following the excitement surrounding the track ‘Aaj Ki Raat,’ the creators of the horror comedy Stree 2 have released a new song, ‘Tumhare Hi Rahenge Hum,’ featuring RajKummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. The lyrics for the song are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and it is performed by Varun Jain, Shilpa Rao, and Sachin-Jigar. On Tuesday, the film’s production house, Maddock Films, shared the new song on Instagram.

The song highlights the chemistry between Shraddha and RajKummar’s characters, with RajKummar’s character Vicky expressing his deep emotions for Shraddha’s character. Sharing the video, Shraddha Kapoor wrote, “Intezaar hua hai khatam kyunki tumhare they, tumhare hain, tumhare hi rahenge… hum #TumhareHiRahengeHum – OUT NOW! #Stree2, the legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August 2024.”

In Stree 2, Shraddha and RajKummar will reprise their roles, joined by Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee. The film is set to bring back the unique blend of horror and comedy as the legendary Stree returns to unsettle the men of Chanderi.

The much-anticipated trailer for the film was recently released, showing Pankaj Tripathi’s character introducing a new villain, ‘Sarkata,’ who poses a threat to the village by targeting its women. Vicky, portrayed by RajKummar, takes on the role of Chanderi’s prince to combat this new danger.

Tamannaah Bhatia also makes a cameo appearance with a vibrant dance number in the movie. The song ‘Aaj Ki Raat,’ sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and composed by Sachin-Jigar, features Tamannaah dazzling in a green outfit and showcasing her energetic dance moves. The original Stree, released in 2018, was a major hit, and its sequel, directed by Amar Kaushik, is set to hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
