Government of Gujarat announced on Monday that it will host a Vibrant Gujarat startup summit just ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat global summit 2022 on January 9, next year. The idea behind organising the summit is to bring together innovators, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists on one platform.

Anju Sharma, Principal Secretary, Department of Labor and Employment, said that the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, which started with the vision and efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is gradually setting new records.

“As the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2022 draws to a close at a time when Gujarat is moving towards becoming a global business hub due to the Vibrant Summit. The Startup Summit will be held on 9th January,” she said.

Researchers and leading investors will participate in the Unicorn Conclave. More than 10 specialized startup founders from Gujarat, leading investors and more than 1200 startups will also participate. In addition, about 500 industrial leaders from Gujarat will also be present.

Speaking on the occasion, Anju Sharma, Principal Secretary, Department of Labor and Employment and Chief Coordinator, Startup Summit, said: “Other leaders, including Intel India CEO Nivruti Rai, APNA founder and CEO Nirmit Parikh, will share their views.

She added that the summit will be attended by leaders from India as well as startups from around the world. “This event will provide participants with the opportunity to present their experiences, learn new things and improve. Emerging entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present their ideas, meet national and international investors and implement their ideas,” she added.

Due to Gujarat’s defined and accurate structure in the field of startups as well as incubation, collaboration, awareness and other initiatives, Gujarat has been at the top position in DPIIT State Startup Rankings for two consecutive years 2018 and 2019.
