‘Modi: Journey Of A Common Man’ is back with its second season. Titled ‘Modi Season 2 – CM to PM’, the Eros Now original web series has been helmed by Umesh Shukla and Ashish Wagh. Its makers released its trailer on Wednesday. The 10-episode first season released in April 2019 and chronicled Narendra Modi’s life from his growing up years to becoming the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The three-episode ‘Modi Season 2 – CM to PM’ will follow Modi’s journey through the political corridors of Gujarat, the challenges he faced while serving three consecutive terms as the CM to ultimately becoming the Prime Minister.
Mahesh Thakur said, “Ever since childhood, we have often heard about the marvellous journey of our PM Narendra Modi, and it’s a story that has marked a prestigious place in the history of our nation. Playing such a prestigious character is honestly an honour, but comes with great responsibilities. A lot of preparations were required from the look to the body language and dialogue delivery which was a team effort. My character will take the viewers from his political journey to becoming the PM.”
Faisal Khan, who played Narendra Modi’s childhood characters, said, “it was a different experience to play Modi’s character. One thing that I have learnt from this character is that he listens to everything very patiently which I lack.” Ashish Sharma has played young Narendra Modi who leaves everything for the betterment of the society. Ashish said, “Narendra Modi’s personal journey inspired me. I was more than happy to be selected for this role by director Umesh Shukla who had faith in me. This character will be very special for me.”
