West Indies announces 13-member squad for ODI series against India

Ahead of India vs West Indies series Cricket West Indies (CWI) senior men’s selection panel on Sunday announced its squad for the 3-match ODI series against India in Trinidad. The three ODIs will be played on July 22, July 24 and July 27 at the historic Queens Park Oval.

After the 3-match ODI series, a 5-match T20 series will be played from July 29 to August 7. The selection panel has included veteran all-rounder Jason Holder in the ODI squad, and the holder has returned to the team after missing out on the Bangladesh series.

Lead selector, Desmond Haynes, said in a statement, “All we all know is Jason is one of the leading all-round cricketers in the world, and we are happy to have him back in the team. He will be refreshed, re-energized and ready to go and we can expect to see his brilliance on this field as well as meaningful contributions off the field as well.”

Nicholas Pooran (Captain), Shai Hope (Vice Captain), Shamarh Brooks, Keacy Carty, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Kyle Meyers, Gudakesh Motie, Keemo Paul, Rovman Powell, Jayden Seals
