We thought we had enough, says Rovman Powell

The entire West Indies camp was in a state of shock after falling short of the target despite scoring 258 runs.

“Sometimes you have to put your body through stress and it was an important game,” West Indies skipper Rovman Powell said after the game. We decided enough was enough when we reached the halfway point.

“The guys are making good progress. It’s just a matter of carrying over what we did well today into the third T20I. This is the seventh game I’ve played on the T20 circuit in which we scored 240 or 250 runs and lost, so I’m used to it.”
