Virat Kohli Reaches Bengaluru, Joins RCB Camp ahead of IPL 2024

Virat Kohli, the celebrated player of Royal Challengers Bangalore, has reached Bengaluru ahead of the forthcoming Indian Premier League season and RCB’s Unbox event.

Kohli, a prominent figure in Indian cricket and with RCB, has been part of the franchise since the IPL’s beginning, leading the team for nine years.

RCB took to Instagram to announce the arrival of Kohli and captioned it, “Too much happening too quickly and we’re not slowing down. Is he here?”

Sunday night, Kohli was seen at Mumbai airport, preparing to board a flight to Bangalore for the upcoming IPL 2024 match with his team. He sported a stylish white T-shirt adorned with a large cartoon character and the word ‘Dad’.

Kohli, who sat out India’s 4-1 Test series victory over England, welcomed his baby boy, Akaay, recently. With 237 IPL appearances for RCB, he has accumulated 7,263 runs, boasting an average of 37.2 and a strike rate of 130.0, making him the highest run-scorer in the tournament’s history.

In 2016, Kohli’s top score of 113 against Punjab Kings contributed to RCB’s formidable total of 211/3. Despite 16 seasons with RCB, Kohli has yet to lift an IPL trophy with the team. He aims to clinch the maiden title in the upcoming edition.

In the IPL 2024 auction, RCB bolstered their squad by securing the talents of both foreign and Indian players, including Alzarri Joseph, Yash Dayal, Tom Curran, Lockie Ferguson, Swapnil Singh, and Saurav Chauhan.

RCB will commence their campaign with the season opener against Chennai Super Kings on Friday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

RCB IPL 2024 squad: Faf du Plessis (c), Glenn Maxwell, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik, Suyash Prabhudessai, Will Jacks, Mahipal Lomror, Karn Sharma, Manoj Bhandage, Mayank Dagar, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, Reece Topley, Himanshu Sharma, Rajan Kumar, Cameron Green, Alzarri Joseph, Yash Dayal, Tom Curran, Lockie Ferguson, Swapnil Singh, Saurav Chauhan.
