There were a lot of expectations from Team India in the Asia Cup, and the Indian team exceeded those expectations in the first two matches of the tournament. Suryakumar Yadav’s batting performance in this series, particularly in the second match, shows that he will become one of the biggest strengths of the Indian middle order in the coming years. And the way he is playing currently is going to help India a lot in the upcoming T20 World Cup as well.
On the other hand, Virat Kohli is the strongest part of the Indian team in this Asia Cup. The way he has taken India out of trouble in both matches will surely boost his confidence, and still, there are many more matches to be played in the Asia Cup. Virat Kohli would like to perform better in this tournament as it will strengthen not only him but also the Indian team in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Undoubtedly, the Indian team scored 15 to 20 runs less against Hong Kong. But, Suryakumar Yadav shared an attacking standoff with Virat Kohli in the death overs. And it shows the confidence of the Indian team in this tournament.
The way Indian bowlers bowled against Pakistan, they bowled completely differently against the Hong Kong. The Hong Kong team was being judged lightly, but at a moment their batsmen were dominating the Indian bowlers. Especially, Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan disappointed the team, and they struggled with their bad line and length against Hong Kong. And that’s the reason why Hong Kong batsmen dominated the Indian bowlers. Team India needs to focus on their bowling side. Because they don’t have more fast-bowling options in this tournament. In such a situation, every match is important for the team, so these bowlers have to give their best performance in every match.
